This is just like the
personal profiles in the Character's profiles page. It's kinda
weird writing about myself, considering that those of you who
know me already know these little details about me. Those of you
that don't know me however... well, just keep on reading this, I
guess.
Anyway my name is
Robert, but I'm also known as RobiWanKen0bi on some websites and
forums. I began watching TMNT ever since they've started
airing it in my country. My parents say that I've started watching
when I was two, or three years old... kind of. Back then the
old series (the 1987 version) were very popular and I was
already a big fan of it. My parents and grandparents recorded
the episodes onto video cassettes and I used to play the games
on SEGA. Not to mention I had the turtles as toys (action
figures) and played with my friends almost all the time. Heh,
good ol' times.
When the old series
ended I thought something like "Oh NOOOOO! This is the End!" Or
something like that; I can't remember exactly. In 2003 my aunt
and uncle bought me my first computer and then I've heard of the
Turtles game on PC. When I've first seen it I really liked it,
though they looked a lot different than the ones from the old
series. Back then I didn't even know there are new series, but
later on they began airing the new episodes on TV.
A few years later
when the internet became popular (it was popular before, but not
so much in the place where I live) I've got a dial-up internet
which was unbelievably slow, but still was quite useful to me
since I was a rookie with the internet functions and stuff. Slowly I've met friends online and
became more familiar with the features that the internet offers.
In the early 2007 I've created my own TMNT website and Forum.
I've received a few members at the forum; mostly my friends
joined and as the years were passing it became more active and
popular. I've
been upgrading both the site and the forum with new content,
improving them and trying to make them better and better. I've
also made my first TMNT abridged series website, though currently there
aren't too much episodes. Hopefully I'll work on it with my
friends when we get free time.
Now I'm a student at
a university and though my time is very limited due to exams and
various obligations I still try to be online whenever I can to
chat with other fans. Mirage made the last movie called "Turtles
Forever" and Nickelodeon took over the ownership of TMNT. So many things are
changing lately and I'm looking forward to better times, when
I'll be able to enjoy my time hanging out with my friends and
also to watch my favorite shows. Well I suppose that's mostly
everything I have to say at the moment.... Oh and now I have a
wireless internet (almost forgot to mention that). See ya 'round
dudes and dudettes!
